EU Pay Transparency Tracker
A standing, monthly measure of how many live European tech job ads state a salary. The EU Pay Transparency Directive's transposition deadline passed on 7 June 2026; this page tracks what job ads actually show, month by month, so the signal stays visible after the one-off H1 2026 report. Every number counts only ads that state a salary figure. Nothing here is a compliance claim.
6.7%
of live tech ads state a salary, across 2,533 ads
11.2%
of employers state a salary in at least one live ad (60 of 536)
170
live ads with a stated salary in July 2026
Salary disclosure by job location
Of 2,533 live tech ads in July 2026, 170 (6.7%) state a salary or salary range. The split by job-location country is below; a stated salary means a number in the ad, not a reference to a collective agreement.
- United States 55% (22 of 40)
- Austria 45.7% (16 of 35)
- Switzerland 15.4% (14 of 91)
- Remote (no fixed location) 10.4% (36 of 346)
- United Kingdom 9.7% (73 of 753)
- Netherlands 2.1% (4 of 190)
- Ireland 1.8% (2 of 109)
- Germany 0.3% (3 of 861)
Why this tracker exists
The EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970) required member states to transpose its rules by 7 June 2026. Among other things, it gives applicants the right to know the initial pay or pay range for a position, in the ad itself or before the interview. Job ads are only the visible end of that duty, disclosure can also happen later in the hiring process, but ads are the part the market can see. The one-off H1 2026 report measured a single snapshot; this tracker keeps the same measure live, month by month.
Methodology
Each month a snapshot counts the tech job ads live on Jobdex on capture day, aggregated directly from company career sites via their applicant tracking systems. A salary counts only when the ad states a number; references to a collective-agreement minimum without a figure do not count. Shares are reported per ad and, where the snapshot carries it, per company with each employer counted once. Country is the ad's job-location country; remote roles without a fixed location are their own bucket. This describes stated disclosure practice in the sample, not legal compliance: several employers are headquartered or hiring outside the EU, where the directive does not apply. Snapshots are append-only, so a published month never changes retroactively.
