Terms of Service

Jobdex is operated from Germany. The authoritative terms are the German AGB. This English version is provided for convenience.

§ 1 Scope

These terms of service apply to all services offered by Alexander Schauff, Mühlenstr. 223a, 41236 Mönchengladbach ("Jobdex", "we") via the website jobdex.io, and to use by registered users and visitors ("you").

§ 2 Service description

Jobdex is a free job aggregator focused on tech roles in Europe. We collect publicly available job postings via the official APIs of the respective applicant tracking systems (ATS) and offer advanced filtering and search. Applications happen exclusively with the employer. There is no entitlement to continuous availability or to any particular quality of the postings.

§ 3 Registration and account

Search works without registration. An account is required for email alerts (digests) and for saving personal preferences. Sign-in is passwordless, via a magic link or 6-digit code sent to your email address.

§ 4 No cost

Jobdex is free to use for candidates. No payment obligation arises at any point unless we introduce paid services in the future that are explicitly marked as such and activated only with your consent.

§ 5 User obligations

• Provide accurate information, especially an email address that actually belongs to you.
• Do not scrape the platform, do not create disproportionate load, and do not bypass security measures.
• Do not use the platform for illegal or harassing purposes.

§ 6 Third-party content and copyright

Job descriptions shown on Jobdex come from the respective employer. We make no warranty as to their accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Copyright in the descriptions remains with those employers; we display them in line with what users would reasonably expect from an aggregator.

§ 7 Liability

Our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. In the case of breach of essential contractual duties (cardinal duties) we are also liable for simple negligence, but limited in amount to foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health remains unaffected.

§ 8 Termination

You can delete your account at any time from jobdex.io/settings. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that seriously breach these terms, after reasonable notice.

§ 9 Changes

We may amend these terms in response to legal developments or new product features. Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice; for existing users they take effect only if not objected to within four weeks of notification.

§ 10 Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU member state, mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence (Art. 6 Rome I Regulation) remain unaffected. For disputes with merchants, public-law legal entities or public-law special funds, the place of jurisdiction is Mönchengladbach.

§ 11 Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. The invalid provision is replaced by the legally permissible arrangement closest to the original economic intent.
