Senior Rails Engineer (Remote, Financial Research Platform)

Job Description

1. Take ownership of the development of our backend stack, features, and lead infrastructure decisions 
2. Analyze software requirements and offer guidance and solutions
3. Build backend and API's with Rails, Postgres, and Redis 
4. Work with our product, design, and data science teams  
5. Manage DevOps 
6. Drive BDD, CI/CD, and agile practices 

Qualifications

1. At least 4 years experience building web application using Ruby on Rails 
2. At least 4 years experience developing/designing distributed and scalable architectures
3. Deep knowledge of data structure and algorithms
4. Experience in cloud deployment (GCP/AWS/Azure/Alicloud)
5. Devops experience shipping to production with CI/CD
6. Familiarity with Postgres
7. Experience with web sockets
8. Self-starter who delivers with minimum supervision
9. Bonus: Experience with Elixir / Phoenix / modern JS frameworks / automated tests
