About the Job

The AML AI Engineering Squad is a cross-functional team within the Risk & Compliance tribe. Our team is responsible for developing cutting-edge data products and ML solutions that power Transaction Monitoring and protect our merchant base from Money Laundering and Financial Crime. We combine automation, AI, and engineering excellence to build innovative products that empower Risk and AML teams to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.

The Senior Data Engineer role is critical for creating a robust, high-quality data foundation that drives efficiency, powers AI-driven automation, and enables data-driven decisions for our Risk and AML teams. You will build and maintain data pipelines in our system, ensuring analysts, product managers, and AI systems have trusted, accessible data.

Join us to shape the future of financial safety and make a lasting impact!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and operate Python-based, production-grade data pipelines that power AI automation and ML workflows (Risk Decision Center / SAR Studio), including near real-time datasets and aggregations
  • Ensure data quality and reliability end-to-end through validations, testing, monitoring, alerting, and clear SLAs/ownership
  • Create and maintain core data models and aggregations for Risk and AML decisioning and analytics
  • Support Regulatory Reporting by building scalable reporting pipelines, handling ad-hoc regulator requests, and ensuring traceability through audit trails, versioning, and reproducible outputs
  • Improve and document our data foundations and governance (architecture, dependencies, dataset definitions/lineage)
  • Collaborate closely with Data Platform and a cross-functional squad (data scientists, software engineers, analysts) to align on requirements and deliver safely in production

You'll Be Great for This Position If You Have

Must Have

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on building and deploying scalable data solutions
  • Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark, with solid software development engineering skills for designing computationally effective solutions in large-scale production
  • Experience with AWS technologies (S3, EKS, Keyspaces, Athena)
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, with a good understanding of API design, containers (Docker), and version control (Git)
  • Self-drive, proactiveness, and high adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to data governance, quality, and ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with GraphDBs
  • Previous experience in FinTech or a cross-functional setup

We'd love to hear from you even if you don't tick every box — what matters most to us is how you think, collaborate, and grow. If you meet the core requirements, we encourage you to apply!
